| TROPICAL GREENHOUSE

The tropical greenhouse is located at the centre of the Garden, opposite the shade-house. From among the specimens it holds, three are particularly outstanding ones: the Mascarena bottle palm, Buddha’s belly bamboo from Asia and Pachyra from Central America. Tumbling over branches, fallen trunks and hanging baskets made of coconut hair are the epiphytes, orchids and bromeliads. We can also see plants commonly used for decorative purposes, like ficus and dracaena; tropical plants with edible fruits (coffee, banana palm and tropical pineapple) and lianas, typical of the tropical rainforest, which cover the back wall.
